Equipment Planner is an Equipment Maintenance add-on that provides significant improvement to the visibility of Equipment availability and status. It also integrates seamlessly with Job Cost, Equipment Cost and Accounts Receivable to provide additional billing functionality.
Using a Gantt chart style calendar interface, Equipment planner allows you to view equipment item availability in an easy to interpret display that provides equipment status and scheduling information. Within the calendar the user has the ability to insert additional tracking details and assign colored tags to equipment status types in order to provide a better visual display of your overall situation. If you need a more focused view, Equipment Planner allows you to filter your calendar based on equipment types specific to your business requirements.
The integration between Equipment Planner, Job Cost and Equipment Cost allows you to assign Equipment to either Jobs or AR Customers, and create billings to either of these. If the Equipment is booked out to an AR Customer an Invoice is sent to Accounts Receivable. Alternatively if the Equipment is booked out to a Job then it is sent to Equipment Cost as a Revenue transaction against the Job. The integration between these modules eliminates the need for double entry within Timberline Office and reduces the occurrence of billing discrepancies.
